Kerith the Therapy Dog to the Rescue

Just Getting Started

Kerith herself is just getting started in 2020 although the dog does her job like an experienced pro. At only age two this young golden retriever has been running out to the base camps in Marin daily working with firefighters and helping them smile again after a long day or night on the fire line. Right after the morning briefings is one of the best times to catch Kerith doing her magic, providing firefighters a sense of normal when week after week they are dealing with anything but that on a dramatic fire line.

Kerith won’t be a therapy dog forever, but she’s got a long road ahead of her still and doing so that golden retriever will definitely be helping out hundreds in disasters to come before she’s ready to retire.
