Alarming Shelter Statistics

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has curated some alarming statistics when it comes to animal shelters in the United States. At the time of their study, the ASPCA revealed that more than 6.5 million companion animals had found their way into shelters throughout the country. That number was split pretty evenly between both cats and dogs.
