There are contractions that are not labor, but are causing your body to become ready. This is what results in false labor. It is better to go and be examined if you are not sure about what is going on. Your medical providers are experienced at determining true labor. Labor begins with cramping in your uterus. Some women find the cramping starts in the back or lower front abdomen area. This cramping continues to occur, and increases in strength over time. Each labor is individual.
